3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide the budget matching service
  • Send you your license key and recovery emails
  • Process payments through Stripe
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Improve our service

4. Data Security

  • Encryption: All sensitive data (budget ranges, project details, emails) is encrypted using Fernet encryption
  • HTTPS: All communications are encrypted in transit
  • Privacy-friendly analytics: We use Umami, a cookieless analytics tool that collects no personal data
  • Secure sessions: HTTP-only, secure cookies prevent XSS attacks
  • CSRF protection: All forms are protected against cross-site request forgery

5. Data Retention

Automatic deletion: All project data is automatically deleted after 30 days or upon project completion, whichever comes first. This includes budget ranges, project descriptions, match results, and optional email addresses.

License information is retained as long as your account is active.

6. Third-Party Services

6.1 Stripe

We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe has access to your payment information but we never store or have access to your full credit card details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

6.2 Email Service

We use a transactional email service to send emails (license keys, recovery emails). Your email address is only used for these purposes.

6.3 Umami Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool. Umami does not collect personal data, does not use cookies, and complies with GDPR. See Umami's Privacy Policy.
